Typically, there are several reasons people start an MLM network marketing business. I had one big reason. I call it my WHY. Sure, most people join an mlm to make money. But, the real reason why is always much more than that.

One of the first things I ask a new business partner to do is to give serious thought to exactly why they joined me in the business. It’s important for them to understand that it’s not just about money. What are their dreams? What will the money give them?
Some want to be a stay at home parent. Maybe it’s for the new house they’ve been dreaming of. Perhaps it’s the freedom of working for themself. Maybe it’s a nest egg for a secure retirement.
I ask all new business partners to write out their Why, hang a copy on their office wall so they can review it regularly, and email a copy to me.
It’s critical that you have a strong Why. You are going to have ups and downs in any business. We all do. I have difficult days. And I have easy days. It’s all just part of network marketing.
Some appointments will not show up. Some business partners will cancel. A new team member you expected to be a winner will end up being a whiner and excuse-maker. Products orders will get delayed. Leads will be impossible to make contact with. You will run into all sorts of roadblocks in your career.
When I have a tough day, I just think about my Why…and it keeps me pushing ahead. Knowing my business partner’s Why, lets me better understand and help them, too. One thing I have always seen is that those in MLM network marketing who are very successful, always have a very strong Why!
I encourage you to give serious thought to your Why. Write it down and share it with your sponsor. When challenges do come up, remind yourself of your Why. It will have a dramatic impact on your success!
