Cash Through Baked Goods How Anybody Can Make it Happen Posted By : Criss White

Ever met someone who supported themselves by pursuing their creative passion as employment? It’s possible.

Baking, for a lot of families, is just an everyday activity, but individuals who are able to create very yummy baked treats and enjoy giving them to family and friends, will soon find out that this can be an extremely profitable and rewarding financial venture – in every sense of the word.

While the actual baking process may be your favorite part, selling your baked wares and being able to grow it into an income stream, if you wanted to, would require some activities that would prohibit time in the house.

• Go to an area school and ask if you can bring your cakes for the school bake sale.
This might be a natural opportunity to introduce your baked treats initially to a big audience.
• Visit your local coffee house to see if you can give them a sample of your baked treats and see if the community enjoys them.
This could be your first attempt to sell ‘commercially’. Don’t scrimp on good presentation and really consider the price tag you will ask for it.
• Go to sandwich shops who also offer baked treats at the cash register.
A good indicator and a very fast way to see how your target audience reacts. As easy as picking it up, no need to market as the baked goods could potentially sell without help.
• A lot of folks are really into organic products, so if you bake with organic, be sure to note it. Also try some diet-friendly products for the elderly market.
Market what’s best or what elevates yours from regular cookies or cakes.
• Have a website
Use affordable media to involve people outside your home-town. You can typically work in the comfort of your own space without necessarily renting out a counter space in a shopping center or in the supermarket.
• Buy some business cards/flyers.
Nobody knows you’re out there! Place phone and website information and product offerings so they’ll be handy whenever the client’s sweet tooth calls. Be ready to answer the telephone and emails once you distribute fliers. A client’s first contact with you has to be simple and easy so they are certain you can actually deliver the kind of goods and quality you are marketing.

• Tell a friend to tell a friend.
The most valuable marketing is word of mouth advertising. Having someone who recommends and refers your business can truly bring a lot of long-term customers right to your door.

A selection of home-baked treats wrapped with good advertising and selling methods can certainly bring you a fun and profitable venture. Just never negate the quality of your product and don’t forget to value the loyal customers buying from you and soon you will be the only ‘baker’ for many, many people.

Always add a a pinch of passion and whisk together with good will and you surely enjoy sweet success – in achieving your passion and financial goals.
